What are the steps for setting up services?
Please see let's get started on the home page to find out the process for setting up services.
How do you provide services?
The majority of my work is done 1:1 via ZOOM. However, there are many factors to consider and answers can vary based on different circumstances. Give me a call!
How much do you charge for services?
Generally, I charge $95 per 50 minute session via ZOOM. There are additional charges for travel and other in-person services which are determined on a case-by-case basis. Give me a call for more specialized pricing information.
Do you bill insurance?
No. All of my services are out of pocket.
How often should you meet with my child? What is the recommended length of service?
When I first start services with a client it is important to establish rapport, build trust and create routine. Due to the nature of the work that I do, it is important that a meaningful social connection is made with each family I serve. This takes time. I initially recommend weekly services for new clients for at least the first six months, but am open to a more flexible schedule as we progress.
Do you see clients or are you available to talk on the phone in the evenings and/or on weekends?
My work hours are Monday through Friday. It is always possible for me to make time during the work week to talk and answer questions.
What age clients do you serve?
I serve children as young as two up to young adults. Two of my current clients have graduated college and we are now working on gaining employment via conducting job searches, resume creation and practicing interview skills. Also targeted are supporting aspects of “adulting” such as budgeting, home maintenance and interacting with members of the community.
Do you work with a variety of diagnoses?
A client does not need to have a particular diagnosis in order for me to provide services. Over the past 25+ years, I have worked with a wide range of clients including those on the Autism Spectrum as well as individuals reported to me as having ADHD, Anxiety, Non-Verbal Learning Disability, Sensory Processing Disorder and an array of genetic disorders.
Can you help me find additional resources in the community?
Yes. I am well connected in the Portland therapy and educational communities. I am happy to provide information about other providers and related resources.
